DECEMBER
THURSDAY-23 
Check for $300 from Pic. Review. A sent it to Corn Exchange.  I washed hair, & darned socks.  We picked out drawing for Curcios & A took it & water colors and brushes for Pete over.  Louisa sent me slip.  I did up other children's presents, took them to Taphouses.  John in - a [[underlined]] wonderful [[/underlined]] talk on "the road."
"Mind your own business & keep going" their  slogan. Did more cards in eve.  Got bundle of cards to day.  A to Huntington, back with [[underlined]] swell [[/underlined]] dictionary he ordered.

FRIDAY-24
A took Al's shovel & poker up. John in with bottle of blackberry wine. Both to Huntington, Got Herb a sweater & Grace a scarf.  Marketed taxied back. Cleaned up boat. Read N. Yorker & Motor boat.  A took presents to Post Office & Laurence.  Every thing done.  Al Roselle here with big heavy box, wit rooster, wit ^[[jars]] tomatoes, beans, beets, jellies, chili sauce, green tomatoes.  He for a visit telling us about eye & all.

DECEMBER
SATURDAY-25
A said Merry Xmas! to a dope at 10.A.M.  Tony in with bottle of champagne.  I gradually up, cleared up boat & stuffed chicken, & put in to cook.  Babe & Gertrude in eating candy. Had epicurian dinner - champagn - the rooster - and champagne & the rooster, and celery, potatoes, cranberries & Champagne & the rooster.  A called up to thank Tony, & later Tony & Pete here & took us over to their house.  Had wine & supper of cold turkey, salad, etc.  Walked home, a lovely walk.  Just got in & rain & hail turned to snow, blew & carried on all night.

SUNDAY-26
Snowy & cold.  Rested & read papers & Edgar Allen Poe.  A worked on Life joke.
