Wea. FRI. SEPT. 7, 1928 Ther.
Clear.
Had breakfast in bed with Mother. Both pretty tired so did not do much but talk, eat, & rest. I wrote to Arthur & Chub.
A [[strikethrough]] worked [[/strikethrough]] took laundry to Huntington & wrote long letter to me.

Wea. SATURDAY 8 Ther.
Clear.
I got letter from A. Mother and I took photographs of each other, and sat on porch in lovely sunshine. Took a little walk in late afternoon. I did drawing of orchid.
A painted log, "too beautifully [[Cessanne?]]" at one time.

Wea. SUN. SEPT. 9, 1928 Ther.
Clear - 3 gorgeous days - sunny and invigorating.
We sat out in it and in afternoon walked down the street and took a bus back. I wrote to Arthur. Mr. & Miss Cook there in eve.
Arthur painted & did drawings to develop pen & pencil technique for illustration.

Wea. MONDAY 10 Ther.
Mother and I into illy of H. Got "Jupie Follows His Tale", more films, X-mas presents, little Tools for A. and back to lunch. Took a lot more photographs of each other in afternoon. Mr. Taylor came. I read [[Jupie?]] book aloud in evening.
