Wea. SUN. SEPT. 23, 1928 Ther. Brilliantly clear day. A working on brush & ink technique, I cooking etc. Blacks & Lindbergs here in P.M. I made tea & gave Chuck dry clothes. After supper A drew in girls figure. I posing. Worked with 2 lamps going. Wea. MONDAY 24 Ther. Letter from A's mother, with check for $100. A sorting drawings in yacht club. Worked on drawing. A to Huntington. Holly came in afternoon late, she posed for girls legs. [[end page]] [[start page]] Wea. TUES. SEPT. 25, 1928 Ther. Holly telephoned. All over to Yacht Club, showed H. my paintings she said they did not have that squeezed in book, that I was "out of the bushes." Back to boat, A drew, H fished, I talked to her, & A worked & finished drawing. H went back on 3 o'c train. Wea. WEDNESDAY 26 Ther. [[underlined]] Cold [[/underlined]] Temp 43 A to N.Y. on 8.11. I back to boat & lay down, then did chores. A to Hanks fixed drawing. Collier Ed. thought figures "unreal." Hank made swell offer of a loan.
