Thursday JANUARY 31
Arthur pumped [[underlined]] from 10 to 1 [[/underlined]] A.M. on boat. Water up to drawers. I down - floor covered with ice. [[underlined]] Rat aboard. [[/underlined]]
Mr. Pratt telling of fracas with tenant and cops.
Both rested a while in P.M. Arthur tired, I head ache.
