Both out for papers, stopped on dock visiting with Helen N. small broker & Mr. Dunning - he photographing R.V. 
Back, had dinner, read papers & hummed all day.
In the evening I wrote a long letter to Mother about Randolph, & to bed.

Monday
Both started out for Noroton - met Mr. Pratt at garage. He said he had a "pre sant" for us, a row boat he'd bought from Mrs Rose who is not coming back. Also that the Wises wanted improvement put on house and that he was thinking of winter tenant - he knew a fellow who if he liked it etc.!! So that's the first information of next year which we were glad to hear - making this year seem O.K. after all. Both tickled about boat.
to Norston - A for Rope, I tried to get Dorothy Thompson but no one at home. Supposed they'd come any way so got things for the cocoa party. Back & cleaned house, A helping Mr P. & his gang turn over float.
Made cocoa & waited but no Thompson - Ashe outfit. [[?]] [[?]] to be measured for seats for row boat. A lowered them I back twice for tools. Quite cold & windy - Harry Mincks in in eve. till 10.30. Rain - To bed.
