Grand thunder storms -
In afternoon I started painting of Columbine for design.
Arthur did clever fitting job reinforcing back of [[dingy?]]desk for out board.

Arthur wrote to his Mother & Paul & Bill sending checks.
Monday. MAY 20
Both to Post. O.  Letter from Dottie R. saying they would be here Tues. for over night, that Robert & Mother would drive them down.  To Stamford to get petrol for engine.  Also marketed for Tues.
Back, lunch, scrubbed paint.
Arthur wrote to Stieglitz & sent check of 600 (received from "The Room") to Corn Exchange.  Arthur to mail them, back with raring letter from Beck Strind.  Mr. Pratt called us to telephone - both rushed up - Hartford as we thought. I talked to Robert & Ma, persuading them to come to lunch. 
Stopped & partly cooked chickens made coffee jelly.  Blacked stove.
Wrote up diary.
