MAY 23 Thursday (S)
Up at bust of dawn (5 A.M.)
A. worked on engine for 2 hrs. Finally found water in engine.

Got off at 7.45 - Mr. Pratt down at dock waving good bye. Sound glossy, though slight swells. Reached here at 10.45. Slate boat blew us a welcome. Al & "old man Horly saw on dock. In to see Post Il. & the whole line.
Back to boat when Hank's whistle. Arthur" rowed over, they alongside insisting we go right down to see their house & "dog stock". All quite lovely. A's paintings look swell. After lunch A & Hank back to Bunces to see his boat & A pumped out ours & took bath. Holly & I for a walk. Dinner there. Holly did our horoscopes. Hank drove us back & to bed. More than tired.
