I to New York on 8.11 - Rain - Went to two places looking for slide varnish did not find it. Went to Modern Museum the Doves look fine - Also to Rousseau exhibition and Picasso- both swell.
Home on 3.04.
Arthur had started painting of Black bowl on little red curtained closet. Been to dentist - and found in Eastman catalogue - slide varnish!

I've acquired the national cold. Telephoned Eastman to send bottle of varnish. Cleaned place - Arthur fixing panels & stretcher sticks, did small pastel. Holly in in afternoon. Arthur to Huntington - Both to bed early, both colds annoying.
