Arthur down to boat, made sketch
from Cap. Eatons (used to be) barn 
& trees.

I cleaned for Davidson's visit
wrote up 2 weeks in this.

Arthur wrote to Stieglitz -
and to his mother - asking for a loan from his father.

August 10
Monday
Arthur to Huntington for supplies.
Bill sailing.
I cooked and cleaned a bit more.
The Davidsons here about 2 p.m.
Terribly glad to be seeing them.
They bought us corn, eggs, jellies and the like.
We talked - showed them Bill's carved figures, Arthur's sketches & the paintings of mine they hadn't seen.
A thunder storm in the evening -
Arthur & Davidson moved  down to the boat with Bill, who slept there.
Elizabeth to bed, Arthur, Davidson & I
talking till 2.30.
