This Suit is brought by the within plaintiff as trustee in a deed of trust made by Berville M. Hodges to Said plaintiff as trustee for certain purposes therein named, to recover from within defendant Gervin the within named negro Slaves. [[strikethrough]] Liz [[/strikethrough]] Willis, George, Archie, Richmond, Alexander, Mourning, Esther, Amy, Martha & Mary, or their alternative value within named, to gather with the within damages for the detention of the Same. Said Negro Slaves are detained by Said Gervin from Said Jackson trustee &c as aforesaid -- No Bail is required Walker & Sale P.Q. [[/bracket]] Whereas Thomas Gervin the Coroner of Lawrence County Alabama is now absent from Said County & State Therefore by Authority of the Statute in Such Case made and provided I John B.
