Fayette County 

Know all men by these presents that we Joseph M. Morgin and Mark Meeks are held and firmly bound unto Gabrel Moore governor of the State of Ala and his successors in office in the penal sum of fourteen dollars for the payment of which sum we bind ourselves our executors & administrators and severally by this sealed with our seals and dated this [[?]] 9th day of August 1830 

The condition of the above obligation is such that where as J C C Thompson Sheriff of said County have this day levied on [[?]] an one bay mair as the property of J M Morgin to oates[[?]]fy an execution directed to the Sheriff of Fayette Country from the Circuit Court of the Lawrence County wherein the State of Alabama is plaintiff v the above bound Joseph Morgin is defendant of the sum of fourteen dollars damages & cost now if the above bound Joseph M. Morgin delivery to C C Thompson Sheriff said property on the 21st day of August 1830 then this obligation to be null and void or otherwise to remain in full force and virtue
