Elizabeth, her mother, Peggy Su and a friend, here for a couple of hours.  Had been sightseeing - Niagara Falls.  
* Time to see them.  A letter from Mr. Josephy about illustrations for "Lightship."  George in cleaning.  I also later.  Peggy a very keen person.  Mr. Miller asked for price on land beyond Stapletons & as far as City line.  Paul here - another fight.

Sunday, July 19, 1936
Dorothy Rankin called.  Arthur out.  Made water color figures & lamp at beach - "disregarding" proportions.  A water color of 2 nude figures as a start of illustration for light ship.  Dottie & George Rankin here for dinner until 5 P.M.  Mrs. Craib called asking us to go for a drive, also if we wanted to send anything to Marion & Bill.
