Arthur did a beautiful sun rise - sun spot - water color.
In afternoon both for a drive to Orleans - 9 miles from Canandaigua.
Arthur made water color of the whole drive.
At 11 P.M. telephone rang & rang. Margaret Hutchins - of the Chestnuts - asking us there Sat. My God.

Monday, August 10, 1936 *
Arthur did another lovely sun rise - 2 sun spots water color. Also did over another from Colli hill -
Letter from Mother saying she'll be here Friday - 14th, taking early train.
Really big thunder storm [[underlined]] with [[/underlined]] rain - caught some of the novel stuff for a hair wash.
[[arrow]] Also did a small tempora of sky & apple trees.
[[arrow]] In P.M. did a tempora from caboose. Yesterday's drive of 2 hours, green thing. We to Troutmans, sent roses to Clarence's wife. Wrote Macys ordering Green Laurels. Wrote Margaret Hutchins declining Sat's. invitation.
