Postal rates and information

FIRST CLASS includes letters and sealed parcels. First class mail may be registered or sent C.O.D but cannot be insured.
Rate:-3c per oz. or fraction thereof. Letters for Local Delivery 2c per oz.
Postal Cards, Private Mailing or Post Cards within government size limits, (get ruling on over and under sizes) 1c each.
SECOND CLASS (transient). Complete copies of news papers or periodicals, entered at P.O as second class matter. When mailed by other than publishers, 1c for each two ounces or fraction thereof, regardless of weight or distance, or Parcel Post rate if cheaper.
Second class matter may be registered but cannot be insured or sent C.O.D.
THIRD CLASS includes circulars, and other matter wholly in print, (except second class publications), proof sheets, corrected proof sheets and manuscript accompanying same, merchandise (including farm and factory products) and all other mailable matter not included in the first, or second classes. Weight limit of this class: 8 ounces, 1 1/2c for each 2 oz. or fraction thereof. Over 8 ozs.the fourth class rates apply. May be registered or insured or sent C.O.D.
FOURTH CLASS (Parcel Post) must weigh in excess of eight ounces: includes books, circulars and other matter wholly in print, proof sheets, corrected proof sheets and manuscript copy accompanying same, merchandise and all other mailable matter not included in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes.
Size limit: 100 inches in length and girth combined.
Weight limit: 70 lbs. Rate-according to weight and distance. Go to P.O or Postal Station. Parcels not mailable in street boxes.

Values to $ 5.00 cts. values to $ 50.00 15 cts. Values to $150.00 30 cts. Values to $ 25.00 10 cts. Values to $100.00 25 cts. Values to $200.00 35 cts. Maximum for Phillipine Is. is $100. Restricted delivery, if desired, 10c add'tl.
Return receipt, 3c additional. Return receipt, showing address where delivered, 23 cents additional.
C.O.D RATES: 1,3 or 4th Class Mail

Restricted delivery, if desired, 10c additional.
1st class C.O.D. articles may be registered in addition for combination rates as follows:

It should be borne in mind that, in no case, can the collection on any C.O.D. article exceed $200; however indemnity protection (against loss, rifling, or damage) in excess of $200 can be procured by the prepayment of combination C.O.D.
