Blades broad lanceolate strongly symetric at the tip. ce. 40 cm-60 cm long, strong, glabrous.
[[Culum?]] very hard, ± 1.5 - 2 cm diameter. With a wide ring of hairs.  Each surface asperous. Each sheath also slightly asperous. Sometimes 4 branches from a node.
