[[/red underline]] Violent [[red underline]] vomiting, [[/red underline]] complains of violent headache, seems entirely helpless. Fixed up a cot for him on deck and watched him till about midnight. I hope it is simply an acute attack of indigestion. If not we shall have to alter our plans. I slept very little and awaited anxiously daybreak to know in what condition he will be Oct 26. Bleak coast with white sand dunes, [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] with pine growth on them and a line of breakers fading away in the distance. Now we are in the Ocean the weather is comparatively smooth [[strikethrough]] waves are [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] Cygnet [[/red underline]] bears well on these swells no longer the choppy waves of Pamlico Sound. Then by and by [[red underline]] weather gets worse, wind increasing, [[/red underline]] sky becomes cloudy, [[red underline]] barometer begins to drop [[/red underline]] slowly and it looks as if we were in for bad weather.
