Sent Albert ashore, came back with [[red underline]] telegram that Celine [[/red underline]] would arrive Wednesday morning. I stayed aboard. All night long Eastern Breeze kept [[red underline]] Cygnet dancing [[/red underline]] but nothing unpleasant.
Nov 27. Same Easterly wind, difficult to row to float of Yacht Club and back. I went to do some shopping. [[red underline]] Bright cheerful town [[/red underline]] came back about noon.

Nov 28. Wind has calmed down. Beautiful morning.

Her fur coats and story of low freezing weather in New York seem rather a contrast to mild sunny climate. Went shopping while Albert is replacing cable of steering gear. 
Then hired a motor car which drove us to residential district along Shore southwards. [[red underline]] Beautiful villas everywhere. This is indeed one of the most beautiful [[strikethrough]] places [[/strikethrough]] residential places I ever saw. Deering [[/red underline]] of Chicago has built a place here which is in size and sumptuousness seems to outdo
