This morning's papers which were anxiously read announced that [[red  underline]] German drive is decreasing in strength and that the Allies believe they can face the situation. Reports say Germans have lost 300000 men [[/red  underline]] while casualties of Allies are relatively small. These are anxious [[red  underline]] which I foresaw several months ago after Russia went to the bad. I fear many more anxious days are in store. [[/red  underline]]

much needed refreshing sleep to forget our tribulations of last night. Caught a few fish. Nina caught a big one but lost it. 
Went through Collin's Canal to Miami Beach for a swim then went for supper at Casino. Crawfish! Evening anchored in bay where motorboat races are held. Delightful anchorage cool air and clear water.  Nina while asleep in cockpit got startled by splashing of big porpoise nearby
March 30 Lifted anchor and changed anchorage to Club Pier. Delightfully clear brisk day. Remained aboard all day while everybody went ashore. A cheerful letter from [[red  underline]] George [[/red  underline]] telling for the first time that he has been ill [[red  underline]] with dissentery. [[/red  underline]] and that he has [[red  underline]] leave of absence for five days to visit Rome and take a [[/red  underline]]
