exploring further South until struck [[red underline]] new villa settlements [[/red underline]] to bed early. caught no fish. Rocker arm bracket of engine snapped off. but engine can run on two cylinders.
Dec 23. Beautiful sunny day Southerly breeze. At anchor same place while [[red underline]] Albert [[/red underline]] went out with dhingy to Miami shopping. In meantime I cleaned fishing tackle. This [[red underline]] is peaceful life again! Sailor's trousers and a sleeveless shirt and no hat no cap. Weather perfect Cannot imagine it is freezing [[/red underline]] north. [[margin note]] Afterwards got citified and mostly built up in most modern fashion incredible for those who now live there. Dec. 24. Still anchored in the [[red underline]] wildness [[/red underline]] of [[red underline]] Indian creek. [[/red underline]] Nobody in sight. Took an exploration trip with dinghy along mangrove shores. then took a surf bath in ocean. Weather is a succession of rain-showers. Afternoon proceeded to Miami. Just opposite the farthest stretch of villa-settlements from a beach on wild mangrove land [[red underline]] I saw two crocodiles sunning parallel to each other over sandy beach, and rushing into the water. [[/red underline]] [[margin - two red exclamation marks]] They looked like two moving beams. Their length seemed at least 15 feet, perhaps longer. They seemed to me the [[red underline]] largest crocodiles or [[/red underline]] alligators I ever saw anywhere. [[red underline]] How strange all this near beautifully laid out gardens surrounding the well planned Miami Beach villa [[/red underline]]
