We went as far as the inlet to the Ocean.  There found a large house-boat yacht anchored. [[red underline]] Florence W.III [[\red underline]] of Philadelphia and on its sides [[red underline]] having a large quantity [[\red underline]] of fish [[red underline]] freshly caught also [[\red underline]] an [[red underline]] enormous shark [[\red underline]] with a stump head an a big [[red underline]] sting-ray [[\red underline]] (stingaree) the men aboard also showed us a [[red underline]] turtle. [[\red underline]] this looks very promising.
Towards evening some mosquitoes made appearance so we shifted anchor towards the middle of Card Sound so as to be farther away of Eastern shore. A quiet pleasant night.  Tried some fishing by electric light but

only caught one yellow mackerel or "Jack" as they call them here.
Jan 21. Up at sunrise. Calm weather light northern. I took dinghy and went out to the smallest of the [[red underline]] [[?]] keys. [[\red underline]] There is excellent anchorage facing the Southern Shore and this would made an excellent shelter in a northern [[strikethrough]] The water between [[\strikethrough]]  There is 4 and five feet to within about [[strikethrough]] 200 feet [[\strikethrough]] 150 yards and the bottom is soft.  But the [[strikethrough]] bith [[/strikethrough]] passage between the two keys is very shallow and almost dry at low tide. There is also a shoal North Eastward extending towards the dredged east. Then I went to [[red underline]] Pumpkin Key, [[\red underline]] tied the dinghy on a tree and walked around the whole Island excepting
