Then general conference in private room for supper at University Club with [[red underlined]] Neave Townsend Davies and Gothelf. [[/red underlined]]
A very busy and tiring day. Could not fall asleep till early in the morning.
April 1. 1919. Up early but feel [[strikethrough]] rested [[/strikethrough]] rested. Then to [[red underlined]] Neave's [[/red underlined]] office to discuss matters and correct proofs of testimony. A cold windy raw day and I have a cold in the head. Was [[red underlined]] cross examined [[/red underlined]] all morning by [[red underlined]] Lee. [[/red underlined]] No session this afternoon but time spent with Townsend and Davies discussing testimony and return. [[red underlined]] Gothelf [[/red underlined]] goes to [[red underlined]] Yonkers [[/red underlined]] to prepare some [[red underlined]] samples [[/red underlined]] under heat and pressure

in accordance with earliest specifications of my patent. [[red underlined]] Neave [[/red underlined]] had to leave court this morning while my cross examination was on. I feel very tired. Took supper with [[red underlined]] Dr. Henry Van Dyke ex minister to the Hague [[/red underlined]] and [[red underlined]] Bridges [[/red underlined]] then Bridges took me to Century theatre to see a play made and performed by soldiers of 27th Division.
April 2. Up early still have my cold but feel somewhat better. [[red underlined]] Cross examined [[/red underlined]] from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. by [[red underlined]] slow solem looking Lee. [[/red underlined]] Townsend at one time imagined my testimony rather damaging but after awhile saw clear and came to contrary conclusion. Further conference at Neave's office 
feel very tired
