Sept 5. discussion of [[red underline]] Hesse's patent reform [[/red underline]] suggestion his plans not endorsed. Lunch with Dr. Alerman at Racquet

Club, then visit to Dr. [[red underline]] Owen [[/red underline]] at Franklin Institute. Then Banquet at Bellevue Stratford. The toastmaster [[red underline]] Keller was a heavy boresome Pennsylvania German speaking with a decided German accent. Sat with [[red underline]] Baskerville, Alman, Huelett and Sadtler [[/red underline]] Junior.
Sept 6. returned to Yonkers where I arrived about 2P.M. all alone gave no time to review accumulated mail. [[red underline]] Celine and Nina [[/red underline]] in Adirondacks.
Sept 7. (Sunday) Baskerville joined me on the [[red underline]] Ion. Lewis and James [[/red underline]] there. Went out instructing new crew and anchored near [[red underline]] Hook Mountain [[/red underline]] then took [[red underline]] Baskerville to [[/red underline]] New York and returned to Yonkers. anchored about 11P.M.
