A good cigar costs over [[red underline]] 50 cents [[/red underline]] Shoes are about the same as American prices. Linen and cotton less. Hats are about same price for better grades and cheap grades are sold less than in U.S.
Theatre tickets about $2.00 for orchestra seat, ordinary shows
Ready made clothing or made to order in ordinary clothing establishments in the boulevards are about 1/2 price of what they are in New York.
