There is a long sandbar running from sand point of little Island Hard [[strikethrough]] bottom [[/strikethrough]] sand bottom. Went to New Bedford Hotel for lunch. New Bedford steamer full. have to go by trolley to Fall River, there the boat to New York. Two old Whalers [[strikethrough]] barques [[/strikethrough]] barques along the wharves. Afternoon when I left offered Rev. Rigg, father of Linton R. hospitality of ION while he was waiting arrival of his son's yacht [[strikethrough]] Thath [[/strikethrough]] Thatis.
Went to Museum of Historical Society which is very interesting as it contains many objects relating whalers., portraits etc of old Whale-captains, chiefs of some of most prominent New England families. Also a half size model of whaler-barque entirely rigged up with sails etc in main room. Studied

Aug 21. Meeting Board Directors of G.B.Co to reduce stock capital so as to make Bakelite Corporation an operating Co Redman, Rossi, Hays, Hammer, Schleussner, Geo B Geo R all there. Short meeting then long conference with Redman at all on sever important matters.

Aug 22. All day in Yonkers attending to many matters Celine arrived late afternoon from Adirondacks. Everybody well. Delighted to meet George B & R at Snug Rock for supper
