Jan. 21. Early to Coconut grove sailed away [[red underline]] on "Melody" [[/red underline]] 10:15 A.M. Northerly light breeze. [[strikethrough]] Draft as [[/strikethrough]] Split jaw of foresail gaff, and ran under main and jib. Dropt anchor in [[red underline]] Ceasar's Creek [[/red underline]]

near Angel Key and Wirth [[red underline]] Wirth Munroe [[/red underline]] mended the damage.  Anchor 3:15 P.M. Remained there over night. Two small motor cruisers anchored about 1/2 mile away. Excellent sleep. The best I have had since many weeks.
Jan 22. Up anchor 9.15 A.M. Overcast sky. Northerly breeze. Dropt anchor Booth Bay near Tavernier at 2:45 P.M (34 nautical miles) about 6 knots average. Pleasant run. Went to visit [[red underline]] Portmaster Albury. [[/red underline]] His two brothers there, remembered me and gave me tomatoes and limes. Pleasant meeting fine chaps. Quiet pleasant night. Good sleep.
