I would cure by going away South in new surroundings

Dec. 29. Long meeting with [[underline]] Schleussner [[/underline]] who is much wrought up by recent correspondence Rossi Major on subject of too high charges of formaldehyde and alcohol.  Letter of [[underline]] Major [[/underline]] was rather offensive but so was letter from R & H selling agent.  A rather matter of fact talk. 
  Afterwards came Briggs to talk Life Insurance until my head swims.
  Supper at University Club

Dec. 30. All morning meeting with [[underline]] Schleussner, Rossi, Redman, George Roll, George Baekeland [[/underline]] and myself on subject of considerations as to prices and deliveries of [[underline]] formaldehyde [[/underline]] and [[underline]] alcohol.  Schleussner [[/underline]] had a somewhat more subdued

attitude.  Meeting has cleared up [[strikethrough]] somewhat [[/strikethrough]] situation.

Dec. 31. Very busy day.  Evening went to [[underline]] Century Club [[/underline]] for [[underline]] New Year's [[/underline]] celebration. preceded little informal supper arranged by [[underline]] Edwina Lefebre. [[/underline]] All others artists or writers.  Then the midnight punch and singing.  Pleasant evening.  Took 12:25 A.M train for home.  Celine and the children are celebrating at the [[strikethrough]] Holly [[/strikethrough]] Sleeping Hollow Country Club
