[[/underline]] Ditto for the women, quite some [[underline]] race mixture [[/underline]] and next some very fair complexioned [[underline]] light haired men [[/underline]] & women  But everybody adults and children all [[underline]] look healthy. [[/underline]] None of that pallor which I saw amongst many [[underline]] Europeans residing in Siam [[/underline]] or the French Colonies

This is undoubdetly a [[underline]] very healthy climate. [[/underline]] This is the most unexpected town I have seen thus far during this trip. The [[underline]] power behind [[/underline]] it all is [[underline]] dutch orderliness, [[/underline]] work, thrift and modern knowledge and education.  The natives are easy going and are treated kindly as children that have to be humored.  The [[underline]] dutch here come to live here, [[/underline]] to make their [[underline]] home [[/underline]] here and build and work accordingly.
[[underline]] French, English and Americans [[/underline]] go [[strikethrough]] to other [[/strikethrough]] to [[underline]] their colonies to get rich as quick [[/underline]] as possible and go back home.  The [[underline]] Dutch [[/underline]] I see here [[strikethrough]] all [[/strikethrough]] seem [[underline]] serious, industrious and orderly [[/underline]] and very much matter-of-fact [[underline]] No floating theories [[/underline]] with
