Lunch with Bridges at University Club then went to see a play so as to rest, home for supper.

[[/underlined]] A letter from Celine from Maondono[[guess]] (Phillipines) She is much impressed with result of good American work. Evening at home listening to [[underlined]] marvelous Radio George [[strikethrough]] Roll [[/strikethrough]] B gave me, while admiring his fine ship model [[/underlined]] also his present and sipping his excellent wine also his present. [[underlined]] Feel happy at the thought of having such a splendid son. [[/underlined]] Wish only his [[underlined]] appendicitis operation [[/underlined]] were over.

This is the day which the [[underlined]] Chemists Club [[/underlined]] has set many months ago [[underlined]] to give a dinner in my honor. George 
[[/underlined]] has engaged room for me and one for himself at University Club. Both dining rooms of Chemists Club [[underlined]] entirely filled. Never saw so many friendly faces of old friends [[/underlined]] together. A real [[/underlined]] inspiration. Those [[/underlined]] who do not like me had all stayed away. [[underlined]] Frederick Wagner [[/underlined]] presiding. Everything sincere friendly direct, good humored and interesting. First address was made by [[underlined]] Dr. Sheppard of Eastman Kodak [[/underlined]] who reviewed in a short speech my work in [[underlined]] photography. [[/underlined]] He said that [[underlined]] 3 events had brought about photography so as to make it as popular as it is to day: [[/underlined]] 1/ The invention of the

I use past tense 'underlined' with a 'd' because that is my understanding from the instructions. It seems a waste of time to edit just to remove the 'd' in 'underlined'. If I review and the transcriber just uses 'underline' I do not add the 'd'
