Prosperous looking little city some of [[strikethrough]] her [[/strikethrough]] its shabby quarters being rebuilt by inroads of ^[[new]] industrial conditions. We drove to the new chemical works on the river. New plant has been built on an elongated Island, the property of Union Carbide which has [[strikethrough]] filled [[/strikethrough]] filled up [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] as to make the level several feet above the highest recorded water mark.
