Bright quiet day. Still waiting for that promised letter from [[underline red]] Dillon indicating his commission etc. [[/underline red]] Wired to George am disappointed at this delay Also wired to Horn for statements as to available liquid assets from securities and cash. Received letter from him showing [[underline red]] our foreign account showing that after five years worth, the costs are about even with the dividends we have received [[/underline red]] after deducting our loss in Italy. But [[underline red]] this does not take into consideration the intangible cost of our best men [[/underline red]] being away when we needed them most here. Nor all the [[underline red]] deviated attention
