In these impressions I reached Snug Rock, where everyone was away. Walked thru every room of the house, my old laboratory the garden the "Crags". The whole a museum, a private museum to me, remembering my work, my problems and my happy years. A museum to me personally more impressive than the greatest museums in existence here and abroad, and yet passed by in the rush of work and following years. Some people live and die and have never found the time or desire for contemplation of what they possess.

All agreed to go ahead except [[red underline]] Rossi [[/red underline]] wants to know first whether Sko and Peakes have overcome certain defects in mixing the fibrous material. This went all right in small amounts, but did not suceed well in larger equipment. Then started discussion about cast Bakelite, and whether our lag as compared to [[red underline]] Catalin [[/red underline]] was due to Zimmerman being incompetent on other causes. I stopped the discussion on this subject until I had a chance to confer with Gordon Brown. [[vertical note in left margin in red]] Redman [[/vertical note in left margin]] Then came the discussion of the [[red underline]] situation of Redman, [[/red underline]] who is still in Canada and recently [[red underline]] had another attack. [[/red underline]] It seems absolutely necessary to invest and accentuate this, [[red underline]] that Wieth is the [[underline]] real [[/underline]] director [[/red underline]] of research. The latter as an old and devoted friend and former assistant to Redman, naturally is at a disadvantage and does not dare to enact his opinion or plans, contrary to [[red underline]] Dr. Redman [[/red underline]].
