Catlow visited me, this morning at the Anchorage. Looks healthy and strong. [[underlined]] Andrew [[/underlined]] came to me to ask increase in salary. - Told him he had to wait until my return. Had already in view an increase, but preferred to make it towards end of year and pay according to performance. - Told him am very satisfied with him but that his wife had offended several of my friends by her unpleasant behavior. Did not seem to know about it.

[[underlined]] May 20. [[/underlined]] Received my new passport
Evening met Dr. Clench the Concheologist (Harvard) at the Fairchilds
[[underlined]] May [[strikethrough]] 22 [[/strikethrough]] 21 [[/underlined]] Wrote letters congratulations to [[underlined]] Kettering and Dr. Jewett [[/underlined]] on occasion of them receiving [[strikethrough]] Medal of [[/strikethrough]] Franklin Medal.  Have engaged return ticket Seaborne Airline
