Expects us to [[red underlined]] subscribe $2000 for the 2 years. [[/red underlined]]  Also explains his project of the chemists of the U.S building a special building of the A.C.S. in Washington.
Told to Howe I shall try next year to have some ads placed in his Journal of Ind & Engineering Chemistry.

[[/red underlined]]  Where [[red underlined]] met numerous friends [[/red underlined]] and was [[red underlined]] on the table of honor [[/red underlined]] near the chairman [[red underlined]] Kettering [[/red underlined]] between [[red underlined]] Howe [[/red underlined]] & Robert E. [[red underlined]] Wilson. [[/red underlined]]  Saw [[red underlined]] many Bakelite men, [[/red underlined]] on the large room below where were many hundred participants.

[[underlined]] Nov. 24. [[/underlined]] Met Dr. Vaughan at Cosmos Club.  Long talk about coral-formation etc.
Also [[red underlined]] McKeen Catell, [[/red underlined]] who broke his forearm yesterday in his bath tub at the club.  Is now well bandaged and he does not seem to mind it after I offer him a glass of my wine.
[[underlined]] Nov. 25 [[/underlined]]  Dr. [[red underlined]] Gilbert Grosvenor [[/red underlined]] wrote me invitation to stay at his home.  Of course declined with thanks.
Wired Celine intend to return tomorrow.  The two Roll daughters are with her, also Dicky, etc.
This evening in my room had McKeen Catell, Watson Davis (of Popular Science) and ? (opthalmologist with Jewish nose and full beard) member of C.C.  So offered them some [[red underlined]] Thiesse [[/red underlined]] fruit from Coconut Grove and had long talk till midnight, while they were tasting my wine.  Very pleasant and interesting meeting.
