George Baekeland brought me a copy of a book just published by MacMillan press and written by [[red underlined]] Cecil Roberts. [[/red underlined]] [[underlined]] Title [[/underlined]] = [[red underlined]] "Gone Sunwards [[/red underlined]] [[strikethrough]] bound [[/strikethrough]] In it he describes his visit to Florida last year, [[red underlined]] giving special descriptions of Coconut Grove and Miami. [[/red underlined]] Devotes several pages [[red underlined]] describing a visit to me [[/red underlined]] last winter and under the heading: [[red underlined]] "The Wizard of the Bay" [[/red underlined]] describing me and my work in a most generous way. -
Toch came to visit.

[[red underlined]] Little Freddy came to Snug Rock [[/red underlined]] for supper and stayed over night. [[red underlined]] Quick witted vivacious little fellow. [[/red underlined]] He is now [[red underlined]] about seven. [[/red underlined]] Gets along [[red underlined]] very well in his school [[/red underlined]] (Public school Scarsdale) [[strikethrough]] since [[/strikethrough]] [[red underlined]] reads fluently but does not know his table of multiplication, [[/red underlined]] but can make additions. [[red underlined]] Restless little fellow asking endless questions, and busy all the time. Seems to be the particular pet of his father. Keeps on talking all the time, and exploring every corner and every object in the house. Quick witted and inquiring. [[/red underlined]]

contemplated contract for cross licenses of ^[[urea]] patents between [[red underlined]] Plaskon - 1 Cr - Cyanamid and ourselves. [[/red underlined]] - Today they are at Cyanamid. This afternoon Jerome Alexander came to see me regarding an idea he has for using Bakelite instead of Shellac for making an emulsion to polish linoleum carpets. Told him must refer to our sales dept.

Main defense would be to call attention to the fact that Judge Hand in supporting the decision reached [[strikethrough]] against [[/strikethrough]] in favor of Catalin could only go by the record of the suit and the record testimony was erroneous. See my typewritten comments on the case. Have given this document to Barns for careful study.
