9 to 11 P.M Reception at Upper Library, Old College to meet honorary graduates by Vice Chancellor & Lady Holland.  He was the man who "capped" me with the [[red underlined]] cap of John Knox [[/red underlined]] this morning at the Ceremony.

Certainly a busy day to all of us but we stood it well. A marvelous collection of old paintings in the Upper Library and well kept.  All this in one of the very old University Buildings.
Red gown & blue [[blank space]] and black square flat soft cap were handed to us of the procession before we took our seats, front row.  Because the spelling of my name beginning with B.A. I [[red underlined]] was first; Sir William Bragg [[/red underlined]] (Nobel Prize) rector of Cambridge U. Coming next, also Dr. [[red underlined]] Nicholas Murray Butler [[/red underlined]] (absent on account of health etc. See booklet of the Ceremonies.
