daily lectures are given.  They are so frequented that all seats were occupied. A young man of about 25 gave the lecture without notes and did it very well, captivating the full attention of all. [[underlined]] Neither he nor any of the audience knew that I was one of the listeners. [[/underlined] Altho my photograph was displayed among the exhibits, together with an excellent photographic reproduction of the page of a former note-book where I [[underlined]] captured the phenolic resinoid [[/underlined]] I have invented and gave it the name [[underlined]] "Bakelite." [[/underlined]] After the meeting I introduced myself to the lecturer his name is [[underlined]] William Hoyt [[/underlined]]. His associate who takes care of the other Bakelite exhibits is Mr. [[underlined]] George B. Cook; [[/underlined]] who also made a good impression and escorted me around the various other exhibits of the Institute, and brought [[underlined]] Dr. Schmidt, Secretary of the Museum with [[/underlined]] him.  Took the 7 P.M. train for New York. Arriving [[underlined]] in Yonkers [[/underlined]] there was [[underlined]] no car and later found that Dick [[/underlined]] and [[strike through]] his car [[/strike through]] our car were stranded in our entrance way of Snug Rock [[/underlined]]. For an hour he had tried to release the

the car but unsuccessfully  Told him to leave it there until tomorrow.
[[underlined]] Nov. 26 [[/underlined]] Bright quiet day but cold (25°F) and everything looks white. 
Nov. 27(Sunday) More snow. Newspaper delivered only at noon. 
[[underlined]] Nov 28 & 29. [[/underlined]]  Received number of [[underlined]] Chemitan Zeitung, [[/underlined]] where considerable space is devoted in [[underlined]] describing my work [[/underlined]] and paying honor to my pioneership in synthetic plastics:
