All day at Snug Rock. [[strikethrough]] Brooksie arrived this morning from California. Looks strong and healthy. [[/strikethrough]] Writing up my notes and classifying books and letters
[[underlined]] July 24. [[/underlined]] Went to office. George came in with his son Brooksie who had just returned this morning from California and leaves tonight per S.S. Bremen for Mysore in India [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] where he has a job to assist in building a sulfuric acid plant.  Looks hale and hearty and is decidedly taller than his father, who is taller than I am. Took them both [[strikethrough]] at U [[/strikethrough]] to University Club for luncheon. Bremen leaves at midnight and George will go there. In Italy Brooks [[strikethrough]] takes [[/strikethrough]] changes steamer for one that goes to India.
I went to the Fair. Very hot.
[[underlined]] July 25. [[/underlined]] To office then to Fair. Hot day again. Visited Russian exhibit. Same lies and representations as in Paris recent exposition. [[underlined]] Japanese pavillon, [[/underlined]] well conceived and stream of visitors. Well run. Makes excellent impression. I notice in their exhibits that their silk-spinning machinery uses Bakelite Gears. That their trays for Tea-srving were of Japanese made Bakelite and their photos on Velox photo paper. - [[strikethrough]] Al [[/strikethrough]] All this with [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] my

introduction of Hooker, electro-chemical cells for soda, hypochlorites and chlorine puts me on record of having introduced four [[strikethrough]] who [[/strikethrough]] industries in Japan. This evening returning to Snug Rock, spent several hours clarifying some of my home made wines [[strikethrough]] on [[/strikethrough]].
[[underlined]] July 26. [[/underlined]] Stayed at Snug Rock, where had visit of Dr. & Mrs. Fairchild.  The latter is to receive another medal for his exploration work this day at Museum of Natural History in New York. Then with Mrs. F. drive to the Fair.  
The exploration "Junk" is now under construction.  His address will be.
