Then to University Club luncheon to listen to a lecture by Tomlinson on business situation and attitude of Latin-American countries and giving advice to U.S Exporters. Beautiful day announcing good weather for arrival of the "Newly-Weds" tomorrow morning [[underline]] Sunday Oct 22. [[/underline]] Celine left early for arrival of the newly weds in New York. George B and his wife went there also. The steamer arrived at 8 A.M. with a crowded passenger list. The only available accomodation for Hessert and Dicky was second cabin. First cabin being overcrowded. They brought their little motor car with them which rendered them great service in Europe. They went on their boat at Southhampton. So this is another serious worry taken off our minds. Wrote to Coconut Grove. Irving J. Thomas to obtain voting blanks for next election in Miami

There met [[underline]] Robert Taft [[/underline]] of the University of Kansas who is preparing a book on the history of Science and inventions. Had a long talk with him. Called his attention to a book on photography: "Photography and the American Scene by MacMillan Co. N.Y. 1938. In this book he omitted to mention my invention of Velox, and I intend to write to him. Celine went to World's Fair to luncheon offered by Dr. Gevaert
