Furthermore that every stockholder of Bakelite Corporation, without exception had already turned in their Bakelite stock and were glad at the merger. Meantime cablegram had been received that our British Friends were sending in their stock of Bakelite Corporation thus approving the merger. [[underline]] Nov 2. [[/underline]] Dickie at the office. She has developed so much that I failed to recognise her at first. She is unusually pretty except for that horrible rouging of the lips which has become so disgustingly common among American women who do not seem to realise how common vulgar this is. 
[[underline]] Nov. 3 [[/underline]] Drove to Bloomfield to address or staff of chemists and engineers on the subject of the merger, and to explain the advantages thereof for all concerned and how our company, factories and laboratories will be run separately as heretofore. - The fine set of men and their number has greatly increased since my last visit. His job there will be over in 2 or 3 months. - But one of his friends who is the owner of a large plantation in Mysore, and
