NATIVE CRAFTS

AFRICANS have a natural gift for carving and weaving and fine examples of their skill can be purchased quite cheaply from street vendors or the curio shops. Many of these souvenirs are not only decorative but useful, such as book-ends, paper knives, salad servers and strongly made oven baskets.
