Jan 29, 1932. [[insertion]] (Cont [[/insertion]] England + Morris part of them 
A. L. Dunlap - Valley Wash. Stated he had lost a few sheep & that it was almost always a fat one of from 100-125 lbs. weight & that they were taken "just as if an eagle had swooped down & carried them away. Stated that he had trapped considerable himself, & that England & Weaver had been over the thing with him and all any one could find was car & men tracks. [[Inferred?]] that some one stole the sheep & said it always happened when wood cutters were working in a certain area. Has happened other springs. Gave weaver good character - said he was hard working & reliable & had done all any one could do to help him." Ludwig talks too much.
[[underlined]] Hunter Morris [[/underlined]]. Denied that he + England were drunk or had been drinking at the fair grounds Stated that Ludwig had appeared there with three or four young girls & that they had kidded him about it, a fact that he resented. Hasn't seen either Ludwig or any of the others since. Back to Spokane & home leaving at 9 [[underlined]] 45 [[/underlined]] PM.

Arrive at Portland and at office in A.M. In afternoon help clean up around home
Jan 31, 1932. At home in morning. At noon to C.L. Marshalls to look over photos & selected out a quantity for prints. In afternoon to Ed ONeills for a while. Worked on book in evening.
Feb 1, 1932. Worked in office on correspondence all day.
Feb 2, 1932. Worked all day on correspondence & reprints. Trip to Doctors office to get my car
