[[underlined]] Mar 6, [[/underlined]] 1932 cont. To Roys to get car & to nursery to go over stuff with John Then home and a bath intending to go to Olympia tonight but felt so rotten that I decided to go in the morning.
[[underlined]] Mar 7, 1932 [[/underlined]] So. Portland 630 AM driving Roys car stopping at Centralia to see Albert for a few minutes. Think he is in desperate financial straits - so much so he can't talk or think other things. On to Olympia and see Couch Williams Englund etc. Thence to see McCutchen and go over Bach case with him. Spent evening with Jack Bowles - visiting & discussing the California situation.
[[underlined]] Mar 8, 1932 [[/underlined]] In Federal court Tacoma ready to go to trial on Bach case. Bach not present. Wired in that he was ill and unable to be here. A Dr. Murdoch was in court to speak for him had an uncomfortable few minutes on the stand in trying to explain his position. Judge Chapman appointed a doctor Carlsen to go to Olympia to examine Bach. I took him down but did not go in. Dr. reported he was able to go on with trial. Brot Dr. Bach to Tacoma after allowing him to visit the hunters a few minutes at Couch's office.
Couch Williams etc took all hunters here to office and showed them how records were handled.
Came back and spent the [[overwritten]] day [[/overwritten]] evening with [[Chet?]] Buckhardt and Stanton Warburton. He is fine fellow.
[[underlined]] Mar 9, 1932 [[/underlined]] In court in A.M. Court after due deliberation decided Bach was not able to stand trial and ordered case set over to next term
