Conference with McAlee & Kalumbach over Birds of Oregon. In afternoon for a swim with Young at Y.M.C.A.

To Chiefs beautiful farm on Leonard Creek on arm of Chesapeake Bay. Picnic lunch with the crowd and a fine time. Rode down and returned with Crouch.
April 4, 1932
Visited short time with Steiner & McNary. Then all day at office on Hunter appointments & writing an article for N.S. Daily for the division.
April 5, 1932
Continue work on article and also visited Forster about various things.
In evening to Kalumback's house for a game of penny ante which cost me 1.12 cents. Fine dinner and visit with Mrs. K before the session.
April 6, 1932
General work in office. To Carl & Shoemakers apt in evening for Dutch lunch and sandwiches & poker game in which I came out 50 cents to the good.
