Stopped at Roseburg + saw J. Leedy who is pleased with work under way & doubly pleased that Branson is coming there for headquaters. Saw V.V. Harpham and then to Medford with Sankey arriving there at midnight.
[[underlined]] May 10, 1932. [[/underlined]] Out with Heckner for the day. Saw his place. Took photos and then to Traill creek where he has been doing rodent work. Saw [[underlined]] Lewisia [[/underlined]] howelli. in bloom up in that country and also found [[underlined]] Rhodedendron albiflorum [[/underlined]] lower down that I've never seen out here. Found Colony of odd delphinium which I tried to photograph. Sent some to John.
[[underlined]] May 11, 1932. [[/underlined]] So. Medford at 9[[underlined]] 00 [[/underlined]] AM after visit with Bob Fowler. Drove to Yreka arriving at noon. visit with Kellogg, Johe, Poullard-Cordy etc. Hardison who told me of his interview with President Sproule. Bob Wilson etc Banquet & Yellow dog initiation
[[underlined]] May 12, 1932 [[/underlined]] Spoke at meeting of Co. Ag Commissioner following Jacobsen. Enjoyed visit with several men. Left with Jacobsen at 130 PM arriving at Sacramento about 930 PM. Visit with Metz & [[?Horsny]]
[[underlined]] May 13,1932 [[underlined]]At office going over matters with Keyes & Poole.  Also saw W.P.Taylor & young Alden P. Miller who are checking Red wing blackbirds particularly Tricolor
Visited Tracy [[?Stores]] at Davis with Keyes.
[[underlined]] May 14,[[underlined]] To office at 900 AM with Jacobson travel to Modesto.  Out with Hamilton & Gross to Dunn Ranch about 8 mi. N. W. of Modesto
About 1500 cherry trees. In berry not yet ripe & Royal [[?Armis]] well refined.  Damage by
