In office in A.M. Leave driving Jewetts car for Seattle at 200 PM. stop at Olympia & collect Couch & to Seattle arriving 900 PM 
[[underlined]] Aug 2, 1932 [[/underlined]] Conference with Dedirer and get checks made good by Seattle Fur Exchange. Conference with William and stop at Olympia long enough to confer with L.L. Englund regarding his status. arrived home 1100 PM. 
[[underlined]] Aug 3, 1932 [[/underlined]] General office work and some time on Birds of Oregon. 
[[underlined]] Aug 4, 1932 [[/underlined]] Work on Birds of Oregon in AM & leave Portland at 230 PM enroute south. Arr DeLake at 900 PM. Terribly hot & dirty. 
[[underlined]] Aug 5, 1932 [[/underlined]] Lv. Camp. 700 AM travel south visiting Seal Rocks - On sea Lion caves on Hecata Head. Where two old bull sea lions were present great numbers of [[checkmark]] [[underlined]] Pigeon guillemots [[/underlined]] were nesting in the cave and a few [[checkmark]] [[underlined]] Tufted Puffins [[/underlined]] were hanging about. 
Stopped at Seal Rocks for a short time & saw
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] 2 Wandering Tatters [[/underlined]]
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] 4 Surf Birds [[/underlined]] 
Traveled to Gold Beach arriving in evening
[[underlined]] Aug 6, 1932. [[/underlined]] 
Met several people in G. Beach last night & this morning and on thru Crescent City up onto Siskiyou forests examining Doug. Ingrahams & old plots & thence to Medford at 1030 PM. [[strikethrough]] Aug [[/strikethrough]] Stopped at Oregon Caves and was very disappointed in them. Not worth the effort to go thru them except from geological standpoint 
[[check mark]] [[underlined]] Pacific Loon [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] in fully adult plumage at Pistil River crossing.
