Oct 8, 1932.

Lv. Camp at Walker Lake at 830 AM and travel south to Coaldale where we turned off to Fish Lake Valley of E Raymond Hall farm. We traveled about the valley thru the afternoon & met Jesse Nelson, young Talbot and Mr. Simpson of the F.S.. Supervisor of Inyo N.F.. We camped at 330 on a little stream coming out of a mountain canyon and as we had had no dinner ate immediately and I then walked up the creek a couple of miles returning to camp long after dark
Vegetation of Fish Creek valley in hollows scanty greasewood & rabbit brush on slopes Atriplex in several species - [[?]] fat and a little sage. A few good ranches where water is available. Ground vegetation very scanty everywhere in valley. A few Solidago & Lupine along streams the latter stripped of pods which were piled in Kangaroo rat nests entrances.
A few Erigeions - Eriogonum inflatum were recognized in sage. Not comparable to spring valley
Birds scarce all day.
