Left Beatty 7:00 AM and go over Silver Peak after passing thru Golfield which was a hell of a dump. Silver Peak has much [[moving?]] activity. Road steep & narrow. Beautiful country on top. a rolling country covered with Juniper & pinon Pine. Saw a few [[underlined]] chickadees - Woodhouse Jays, Juncos & Robins [[/underlined]] & the largest flock of [[underlined]] Pinon Jays [[/underlined]] I ever saw. Mountain sheep tracks everywhere in fresh snow also back of a shod horse evidently riden by sheep hunter. Come spring good flow an ideal headquarters site. Should welcome Coaldale Peaks & some mt with this one in refuge. One into Reno at 8:00 PM.
