Apr 10, 1936 cont me about for two weeks or more. Have to admit it was needed. Dinner with Mr & Mrs Wielandy and then spoke to a meeting of 250-300 conservationists & sportsmen. Met Cook, Blahey, Carry Bennett after meeting & talked to them until eleven thirty then got on sleeper Frisco Lines. April 11, 1936 Breakfast & then took brisk walk for thirty minutes at Springfield Missouri Snappy clear day. I got up a good sweat. Couldn't write because no table & train too jerky. This is the original slow train thru Arkansas. Arrived at Oklahoma City at 840. Borne and Sans met me & we started for refuge. Got caught in traffic jams and didn't get too the place until 500 AM. Saw lots of drunks. lots of boys and girls out in brush etc April 12, 1936. Breakfast - a walk & then slept until 100 PM.
