High wind from north 48° and some rain.
To Salmon trout to inspect cameras and then along beach from cabin to point & return at 12:00 noon.
1. Herring Gull  5 along Superior beach
2. Woodcock.      1 flushed on Salmon trout
3. Spotted sandpiper  1 on Lake Superior beach
4. Ruffed Grouse  6 on Salmon trout.
5. Downy Woodpecker  1   "     " [dittos for Salmon trout.]]
6. Northern Flicker  1 at cabin
7. Horned Lark  1 collected on Superior beach
8.  Blue Jay  1 on Salmon trout
9.  Rusty Blackbird  1 collected on Superior beach
10. White throated sparrow  10-12 on Salmon trout
11. Slate colored Junco  10 on Salmon trout - 5 Beach
12. Water Thrush  1 Salmon trout crippled & lost
13. Red breasted Nuthatch  1 on Salmon trout
14. Chickadee C. both on Salmon trout & beach
Saw two deer in Jack pines north of cabin.
Drove to Negaunee and took train to Chicago at 7:40 PM.

Arr in Chicago at 7:40 AM and take train to Charlestown W.Va arriving at 10:30 PM
Sept 29, 1936
Drove with Turner to Elkins WVa & meet Wood, Shawham, Diets, Evans Tucker & others.  Talked at Central States Forestry Congress, and then drove to Oakland Md. taking train at 1:04 AM Sept 30.
