In office again all morning.  John Huntington came in and tried to get me to promise I'd let the Knapp case drop.  Left him at 10:30 to go join Lee Lecompte and with him to meet Albanus Phillips.  Went to his club at Bloodworth island.  Stayed there all night.
Dec 18, 1936
Out hunting saw a lot of Brant & [[underlined]]Canada[[\underlined]] geese.  Birds didn't fly very well but we killed 16 ducks - 3 Black, 4 Pintail, 6 Goldeneye, 3 Baldpate. Drove home and caught the 7:00PM ferry arriving home at 9:00PM.  Brot 9 ducks with me.
Dec 19, 1936
In office.  Saw Winchell & the Secretary and then Beck & John Huntington came to plead again the Knapp case. Felt tired & sick when Clara finally came at two and took me home after she collected Clara Jane.  Stayed at home & skinned ducks.  To bed early.

Went with Clara & all the kids to the Wickens place for a picnic dinner & to cut the Xmas tree.  Came home & made up duck skins.  Two beauties a pintail & baldpate both males.

In office all day.  Tom Beck - John Huntington & two lawyers in again trying to arrange a plea on Knapp case.  Suggest again a
